FORECAST: On and off showers expected Sunday as wet pattern begins

CHARLOTTE — Forecast:

  • If you’re making plans for Labor Day, don’t cancel anything but be prepared for showers. The skies will be mainly cloudy and it will be muggy.
  • Those clouds won’t be a bad thing as they limit our highs to the mid-80s.
  • A shower is possible at any time, but the best chance will be in the typical afternoon and evening time frame.
  • When you go back to work and school on Tuesday, highs will be in the mid to upper 80s with a 30% chance for showers.
  • After that, the chance of rain will increase a bit for the rest of the week. Each day will be in the mid-80s with continued high humidity.
  • There’s a 40% to 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms each day.
