CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This Food Network-featured cupcake shop has closed its Charlotte location.
Cupcrazed Cakery’s Charlotte store ceased operations this weekend — less than two years after it opened at 1730 E. Woodlawn Road, near Park Road Shopping Center.
Owner Heather McDonnell says that store took longer than anticipated to find its footing. She cites the bakery’s location as well as staffing challenges.
Cupcrazed at Fort Mill’s Baxter Village will remain open.
The Charlotte store closing comes a little over a month after McDonnell announced she was putting both locations up for sale.
