CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Dozens of people in northwest Charlotte will not be able to spend Thanksgiving weekend at their homes because of damage left from a flood in June.

Several feet of water-filled homes in the Riverside Drive area after Duke Energy opened a massive dam on the Catawba River because intense rain was dumped onto the Charlotte area.
"I want to cry. I just want to cry," resident Sabrina Hilario said.
In the video at the top of this webpage, Channel 9's Allison Latos went back to the neighborhood Monday and learned many are still struggling to make repairs.
