LAKE NORMAN, N.C. — A fisherman reeled in a large catfish from Lake Norman over the weekend.
Laython Sloop caught the fish on Saturday afternoon and named it “Normie.” The fish tipped his 75-pound scale. It took two people to get the fish into the boat. Video shows Sloop and his friend Justin Smith working together due to its size.

Sloop and Smith released the fish so it could live and grow bigger. They hope someone else has a chance to catch the fish.
