CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Fire is investigating after a deadly car fire in south Charlotte early Sunday morning.
It happened just after 2 a.m. on Bramwyck Drive, near Sharon Road.

When firefighters got to the area, they found a car engulfed in flames. As crews were trying to put out the fire, they pulled a person from the car. They were pronounced dead at the scene by MEDIC.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident. Authorities said the 911 call came from a security guard in the area at the time of the fire.
Charlotte Fire did not say what led up to the deadly car fire, but said the fire was accidental.
