CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Firefighters are investigating the cause of a house fire Friday morning on Jessie Street off of Statesville Avenue in north Charlotte.
They said they were called to the area for a brush fire, but when they arrived they found a home burning instead.
Firefighters said most of the damage was done to the back and side of the home. It is vacant and no one was hurt.
Channel 9 is asking if the fire started outside the home and spread, or if the fire was set on purpose.
