CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Firefighters believe a heating unit was responsible for starting a fire Sunday morning at a home in Myers Park.
Fire crews arrived to heavy smoke coming from the house on Queens Road West at South Kings Drive, which was being renovated.
Firefighters said no one was inside the home when the broke out.
It took firefighters 15 minutes to get the fire under control, and investigators said it caused $150,000 in damage.
