Firefighters investigate fire at unoccupied vacation home

WATAGUA COUNTY, N.C. — Investigators are trying to determin what started a quick-moving fire that heavily damaged a vacation home in Watauga County Sunday morning.

Several fire departments, including Blowing Rock Fire Department, quickly put out the flames before 5 a.m.

Investigators said no one was staying at the vacation home in the Yonahlossee Club.

Firefighters were able to keep it from spreading to other nearby units.
