GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A person has died after a mobile home caught on fire early Thursday morning in Gaston County, officials said.
The fire started around 1 a.m. at a mobile home on John Fraley Road near Dallas.

Once firefighters got to the scene, the mobile home was engulfed in heavy flames and smoke, authorities said.
Firefighters said they were able to find the body of the victim, who investigators identified as Harley Damon Friday.
