HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A major Huntersville road was shut down after the driver of a Cadillac crashed early Friday.
Paramedics said they took one person from that car to the hospital, but it was unclear how badly they were hurt.
The wreck happened around 2 a.m. on Hambright Road between McCoy and Beatties Ford roads.
In a photograph tweeted by the Huntersville Fire Department, you can see the airbags of the car were deployed. Firefighters said they had to peel back the roof of the vehicle to get the driver out.
