Firefighters battled 3-alarm fire at vacant building in Salisbury

SALISBURY, N.C. — The Salisbury Fire Department battled a three-alarm fire at a vacant building Saturday morning.

The fire began around 7:15 a.m. at a structure on Thermoid Way.

Firefighters determined that the fire was moving quickly and requested additional units.

The fire eventually reached 3 alarms and took approximately 50 firefighters to extinguish.

The building was determined to be vacant at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
