CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte Fire Department responded to a house fire in west Charlotte on Saturday afternoon.
A call about a fire on the 3000 block of Sloan Drive came in around 3 p.m. Saturday, officials said.
Thirty firefighters battled the blaze for just under half an hour, according to the fire department.

The home was unoccupied, officials said, and no injuries were reported.
The Charlotte Investigation Task Force determined that the fire started in a bedroom and caused about $50,000 in damages.
