Fire intentionally set at vacant house, Mooresville fire marshal says

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A fire was intentionally set Saturday night at a vacant home in Mooresville, authorities said.

Mooresville Fire-Rescue was called to a structure fire at 840 Brawley Road at about 8:30 p.m. The single-story residential building was completely on fire.

Firefighters, who began defensive operations, got the blaze under control within a couple of hours.

The Mooresville Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire was intentionally set.

Authorities identified six people who are responsible for the crime.

The investigation is ongoing.
