A fire damaged Kittie Sanson Chapel Thursday afternoon in Concord, city officials said.
The Concord Fire Department responded to the fire at 4:40 p.m., at145 Cabarrus Avenue West.
The fire was under control within 28 minutes.
The building was not occupied at the time of the fire and there were no reported injuries.
Strong storms that produced lightning were in the area at the time of the fire.
It is unclear what started the fire, which is under investigation.
