CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte Fire Department responded to a house on fire Tuesday afternoon in a north Charlotte neighborhood.
Firefighters said when they got to the house on Harris Ridge Drive, they saw flames coming from the garage.
Crews said the fire spread to the roof, causing part of the house to collapse.

Firefighters said two adults, one child, and a dog who were home when the fire started all got out safely.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
