CHARLOTTE — There are five area high school football players who made it into finalists for the Big 22 Players to Watch in 2022. This week, sports reporters DaShawn Brown and Phil Orban will be highlighting them.
We will announce the Big 22 Player of the Year Thursday night starting at 7 p.m. on Channel 9 and TV64.
The winner will get a trophy and $10,000 for his school.
The finalists are:
- Sullivan Absher, South Point OT
- Connor Drake, Providence, OT
- Daevin Hobbs, JM Robinson, DE
- Keenan Jackson, Cuthbertson, WR
- Jordan Knox, Northwestern, OT
