CHARLOTTE — Channel 9 was at a northeast Charlotte auto repair shop Wednesday as state and federal agents searched the business.
Action 9′s Jason Stoogenke got a tip that investigators were at Friendly Auto Repair on North Tryon Street.
There were about a dozen agents, from the FBI and SBI, on the scene. Some were armed and many were wearing tactical gear.
Stoogenke researched the business. According to state records, it’s been in business about five years. It doesn’t have a Better Business Bureau review or any Action 9 complaints against it. Stoogenke asked DMV and federal contacts what they’re investigating.
