AVERY COUNTY, N.C. — A father and son were found safe after vanishing Thursday morning on the way to an Avery County school bus stop, officials said.
Daniel Bledsoe, of Elk Park, drove his 7-year-old son, Wesley Bledsoe, to the bus stop, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The two were reported to be with family in Alabama later in the day, authorities said.
The father did not return home and when his wife contacted the school, officials told her Wesley never arrived.
Wesley and Daniel Bledsoe were entered as missing persons before they were eventually found.
