PINEVILLE, N.C. — Pineville police have identified the driver killed in a crash Monday night.
The northbound lanes of Highway 51 near the Interstate 485 interchange were closed for hours after the wreck.
Police said 44-year-old David Larry Thrower Jr. of Charlotte died at the scene of the two-vehicle wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
