ROCK HILL, S.C. — Rock Hill police responded to a fatal crash at the entrance of the QuikTrip convenience store on Heckle Boulevard and South Cherry Road in Rock Hill Friday afternoon.
Police said the driver of a 2014 Toyota Camry attempted to make a left-hand turn out of the QuikTrip parking lot onto Heckle Boulevard, failed to yield and collided with a 2017 Isuzu NPR box truck.
Officials said the driver of the Camry died at the scene, and the passenger in the car suffered serious injuries.
The driver and passenger in the Isuzu were not injured.
Heckle Boulevard between Cherry Street and Main Street were closed while crews investigated and cleared the scene.
