CHARLOTTE — The Highway Patrol was investigating a deadly crash Tuesday morning in southwest Charlotte.
Troopers responded to the wreck around 6 a.m. on Interstate 485 near Steele Creek Road.
MEDIC told Channel 9 one person was killed in the crash and two others were seriously hurt.

According to the Highway Patrol, Dustin and Katrina Crosby were traveling in a Honda when they stopped in the left lane. A short time later a 2008 Lincoln SUV crashed into the Honda, killing Dustin Crosby.
Katrina Crosby and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital. It was still unclear why the Crosby’s Honda stopped in the left lane.
The crash temporarily shut down the outer loop as troopers investigated.
