FAN GUIDE: Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow

CHARLOTTE — Some of the biggest names in professional golf will hit the links at Charlotte’s Quail Hollow Club for the 2023 Wells Fargo Championship from May 1-7.

The player field includes 19 of the top 25 players in the world, past champions, major champions, and rising stars including Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay and Webb Simpson.

Below is information on ticketing, shuttles, tournament policies and players:

Schedule:

Monday — Pro-Am begins at 9 a.m.

Tuesday — Practice rounds (all day)

Wednesday — Pro-Am: Morning tee times begin at 7 a.m.; afternoon tee times begin at 12 p.m.

Thursday — First round begins at 7 a.m.

Friday — Second round begins at 7 a.m.

Saturday —Third round begins at 8 a.m.

Sunday — Championship round begins at 8 a.m.

Gates open at 6:30 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets:

  • A limited amount of tickets per day are available.
  • All tickets are digital and accessible on a mobile phone only. Screenshots are not allowed. Click here for more information on mobile ticketing.
  • Tickets will be available on-site at the Ticket Office for the 2023 Tournament.
  • Practice pack tickets cost $50 and allow access to the grounds from Monday through Wednesday. Cameras are allowed on these days.
  • Daily tickets cost $90 and allow access to the grounds for a specific day of competition on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
  • “Good Any Day” tickets cost $100 and can be used for entry one day (Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday).

  • Children ages 15 and younger are admitted free with a paid adult.
  • Tickets can be purchased online here through Ticketmaster.
  • There will be no reentry offered at the tournament. Once you are admitted to the course, your ticket will be scanned, and you won’t be allowed back in the gates after exiting.

Parking and transportation:

Parking and shuttle service are not included with admission tickets. There is no public parking at Quail Hollow Club. Tournament parking is available at the locations listed below. Be sure to check the days and times carefully to ensure you utilize the proper lot for the day(s) you plan to attend. Expect Gleneagles Road to be closed daily for the duration of the tournament between Park Road and Quail Hollow Road from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Authorized lots:

SouthPark Mall B-Deck at 4400 Sharon Road (parking deck at the intersection of Sharon and Fairview) — Open Monday through Sunday from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Parking is complimentary Monday and Tuesday. Parking cost $25 Wednesday through Sunday and must be purchased in advance.

Carowinds at 14523 Carowinds Blvd. — Open Wednesday through Friday only, from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Parking cost $15 in advance online or $20 in cash in person driving in.

Ballantyne Corporate Park at 13838 Ballantyne Corporate Place — Open Saturday and Sunday only, from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Parking cost $15 in advance online or $20 in cash in person driving in.

Ride the rail:

Ticket holders can use the CATS LYNX Blue Line to catch tournament shuttles Monday through Sunday.

Tournament shuttles will only be available from the Sharon Road West Light Rail Station. There will be no tournament parking at the Sharon Road West Station.

To access tournament shuttles, all patrons must present a valid LYNX ticket purchased on the day of service from one of the LYNX stations other than Sharon Road West.

Patrons should exit trains at the station and follow signs to the shuttle loading area. Shuttle drop-off and pick-up will be at the main tournament entrance.

Tournament policies:

The following items are prohibited on tournament grounds: backpacks, coolers, medium-sized or large bags, and outside food and drinks (except for infant and medical needs). In addition, no point-and-shoot, film or DSLR cameras are allowed during competition rounds. For a full list of prohibited items, click here.

Mobile devices must be on silent at all times and flash may not be used. Devices may be used to take video, audio and photos in all areas throughout tournament week. Phone calls are allowed only in designated areas.

Autographs will only be permitted in designated Autograph Zones.
