CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — The families of a couple shot and killed inside their Catawba County home are offering a reward Friday.

They are hoping someone comes forward to help investigators find the killer.

The families not only want the killer caught, but answers to why the couple was targeted.

Cynthia Caldwell shared with us one of the last photos of her son, Mark Wilson, of north Conover. Sheriff’s deputies believe someone entered his home by force, back in April, and killed Wilson and his longtime girlfriend, Diedra Ramseur.

"I wish someone would come forward for my son. He was a loving person. I just want closure. We want closure for everyone," Cynthia Caldwell said.

Diedra Ramseur's mother still has video on her cellphone of her daughter singing.

Every time she listens to it, it brings back painful memories of Diedra’s loss and the unanswered questions in the case.

"She was beautiful. I miss her so much," Teresa Rippy said.

The family announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

Investigators said they still don't have a motive in the case but family members think Ramseur was targeted because she was a successful business owner.

"My daughter had her a business where she made a lot of money," Rippy said.

The couple's 10-year-old fortunately wasn't home the night of the double murder.

She still struggles to talk about what happened.

"I don't know," daughter Caleis Wilson said.

Family members said they will never give up hope that the person responsible will be caught.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Catawba County Sheriff's Office.
