STATESVILLE, N.C. — A Statesville family will meet Thursday with officers from across the county as they continue pushing for justice in their son's death nearly five years ago.
Joey Brewer was shot and killed in September 2011 when he was visiting a friend at the Myrtle Place Apartments in Statesville.

Last month, the state offered a $5,000 reward to catch his killer.

On Thursday, Brewer's parents, along with the Iredell County Sheriff's Office, Statesville Police Department and the SBI’s cold case unit will highlight additional reward money being offered.
