CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The family of a man shot to death in west Charlotte last year is renewing their push to help track down his killer.

Jourdan Malik Hill, 20, was killed on Sept. 3 outside of an apartment complex on Pruitt Street after someone opened fire into a group of people.

Hill's family held a vigil Tuesday night in his honor and begged for the public's help finding the person responsible.

"Somebody a year ago this time, stole 65-years from him," mother Lajuana Hill said. "Somebody needs to be held accountable for the death of my son. And I'm asking again, someone, anyone to bring justice for my baby boy."

In surveillance video after the shooting, a white Chevrolet Caprice could be seen speeding away from the scene.

Police believe the shooter was in that vehicle.

There is a $7,000 reward for anyone who can help identify the shooter. If you have information, call Crimestoppers at 704-334-1600.
