HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Family, friends, neighbors, who are searching for answers in the death of a Huntersville 4-year-old, are leaning on each other.
Dozens held candles and balloons in memory of D'Andre McCollough in Huntersville Tuesday night.
McCollough died 9 days ago after being taken to the hospital.
Many at Tuesday night's vigil remembered McCollough as a great little boy they loved like their own.
"He was such a sweet boy, he was just so reserved. He had the most precious and affectionate smile. He was just always a happy kid," neighbor Mary Cherry said.
Some said they want justice for McCollough.
Huntersville police told Channel 9 they are investigating this case as a possible homicide, but they are not releasing any new information.
