CLEVELAND COUNTY, N.C. — A family is still searching for answers after a little girl from Cleveland County disappeared 14 years ago Friday.
Asha Degree's parents said the 9-year-old walked out of her Shelby home in the middle of the night and never returned.
Investigators found her bookbag a year later, buried in Burke County. No one has been arrested in connection with the case.
The FBI is assisting with the case.
