A team of K-9 officers from Sevierville,Tennessee drove to Shelby to pay their respects.
"He is like a brother in blue, so to me, that's a family member to me that I have lost,” said Sevierville Police Department Lt. David Finchum.
Every year Brackeen trained with Sevierville officers. He always volunteered to train other dogs.

The last two years, he won the top award at their training sessions.
“We were coming here no matter what,” Finchum said.
Brackeen got his dog, Ciko, when the pup was just 10 months old. They had been together for the past 10 years.
The handler who now has Ciko said he can tell the dog misses Brackeen.
"Ciko was his boy. They did everything together,” said K-9 trainer Howard Young.
They were together Saturday morning when Tim Brackeen was shot in the torso
Both Brackeen and Fenner were shot in the torso. Ciko was still in the car.
“The dog wasn't aware of what had happened,” Young said. But the shooting was captured by Brackeen's body camera. Police won't say what the video shows.
"It's still an ongoing investigation. We have teams here around the clock looking into it,” Shelby police Capt. Steve Seate said.
Police seized several guns from different locations, but they can't say if they have found the one used to shoot Brackeen.
Detectives are in Rhode Island trying to get answers from Fenner.
Fenner's half-sister is accused of hiding him in Rhode Island. She could face a judge in Shelby Friday morning, a few hours before Brackeen's funeral.
Channel 9 will livestream the funeral Friday starting at 3 p.m. here.
