GOLDSBORO, N.C. — If you live in eastern North Carolina, you were in for a treat Friday morning.
F-15 E Strike Eagles from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro flew over several area hospitals to show support for health care workers battling the coronavirus pandemic.

The jets looped around the eastern part of the state starting at 9:45 a.m. in Wilmington.
They then passed over Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, Johnston Medical Center in Clayton and Smithfield and Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro at an altitude of about 1,000 feet.
F-16s from the 169th Fighter Wing from Mcentire Air National Guard base flew over all 66 major hospitals in South Carolina Monday in honor of frontline workers.
