PAGELAND, S.C. — The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after three goats and two chickens were shot and killed at Central High School in Pageland.

According to deputies, the animals were shot between 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.

The animals were part of the Future Farmers of America program and agriculture class at Central High School and escaped out of their pen.

School officials said all five animals died from their injuries.

The district did not have an exact total of how many animals were housed at the school, but they do have several including rabbits, a pig and a cow.
