CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police said an employee at a south Charlotte cell phone store was shot during an attempted armed robbery Tuesday night.
Officers said multiple armed suspects tried to rob the South Tryon Wireless and Fashion store on South Tryon Street, not far from Remount Road.
Officials said the male employee inside was shot and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said the suspects are still on the loose but haven't released a description.
No other details were released.
