FORT LAWN, S.C. — After opening the regional distribution center at its massive East Coast operations hub in Chester County last year, E. & J. Gallo Winery has begun manufacturing there.
Earlier this month, the nation’s largest winemaker opened a production line for its High Noon brand at its Chester County operations. Erich Kaepp, Gallo’s vice president of eastern operations, confirmed that news to the Charlotte Business Journal. He added that a ramp up to full capacity for the production line will likely take four to six months.
Gallo has now hired about 130 employees at its East Coast hub in Fort Lawn, up from the nearly 80 workers it had upon opening the distribution element in October.
