DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham woman, who accused three lacrosse players at Duke University of rape in 2006, has admitted to making it all up.

WTVD is reporting that Crystal Mangum admitted to falsely testifying that the men raped her in a podcast.

Those accusations led to criminal charges against those men, that were later dropped.

Mangum, who is serving time for killing her boyfriend, said she lied so people would validate her.

She said she hoped the men she accused could forgive her someday.
