CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Channel 9 spoke to Duke Energy officials Sunday, who said they have crews dispatched through the Carolinas to deal with emergencies due to a coming storm.
Severe weather is expected to move in overnight and early Monday morning, bringing the possibility of strong winds, heavy rain and tornadoes.

“Every storm is a challenge, and this one is especially unique because it is happening during a pandemic. So, we are taking extra methods by implementing social distancing and safe work practices to help keep our employees, customers and community safe,” said Meghan Miles, with Duke Energy.
