Duke Energy Corp. (NYSE: DUK) CEO Lynn Good is retiring effective April 1 after more than a decade leading a transformative period for the Charlotte-based utility. The company has chosen a Duke veteran to follow her in the role.

Duke announced today that its board of directors had appointed Harry Sideris, currently the company’s president, as Good’s successor. Good has led Duke as CEO since mid-2013.
