SALISBURY, N.C. — Authorities are investigating after they said someone drowned in High Rock Lake in Salisbury Sunday evening.
Rescue crews were called to the lake around 5 p.m. for a possible drowning and searched the area near Saint Matthews Church Road for about five hours before finding a body in the water.
Officials said they would release more information on Monday about what the victim was doing when they drowned.
