CHARLOTTE, N.C. — For years, Channel 9 has extensively covered the long delayed road widening project along Mallard Creek Road.
Work on the three mile stretch between North Graham Street and WT Harris Boulevard has been delayed for years.

The ongoing construction is a seemingly never-ending headache for drivers and business owners from University City to Derita.
Officials with the Department of Transportation said the project will not be completed until next spring.
