CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Nobody was seriously hurt after a driver slammed into a state trooper's cruiser late Sunday on Interstate 85 in west Charlotte.
A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer's car was also caught up in the crash, which happened around 10:30 p.m. near Tuckaseegee Road.
Investigators said the trooper and CMPD officer were parked on the side of I-85 after responding to a call when someone rammed into them.
Channel 9 crews could see a white SUV that was involved and was badly damaged. A green car with its hood up was also damaged.
Police have not said who is responsible for the crash and whether they’ll face charges.
