UNION COUNTY, N.C. — State troopers are working to figure out what caused a turkey truck to crash overnight in Union County, killing the driver.

The tractor-trailer, which was hauling turkey, crashed and overturned around 4 a.m. on Stack Road.
Troopers said the driver died at the scene.
First responders told Channel 9 the cab of the truck caught fire and the driver was not able to get out.
His name has not been released.
Crews were working to offload the turkeys before they could begin the process of clearing the crash, which took hours.
