CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman who was killed after crashing into a tree Saturday night in west Charlotte has been identified, CMPD said.
The single-vehicle wreck happened at about 9:45 p.m. on Wilkinson Boulevard at Morris Field Drive.
Celeste Lytle, 23, died at the scene, police said.
After investigating, authorities said Lytle was speeding and couldn't make a curve in the road. The car's side tires struck a median and her car slid off the right side of the road and hit a utility pole and tree.
The road was closed during the investigation.
No other details have been released.
