YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A woman is facing charges after a man was killed when an SUV heading the wrong way collided head-on with another SUV on Interstate 77 in York County late Tuesday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 11:20 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-77, about two miles north of Fort Mill.

Troopers said 26-year-old Nicole Tanner was driving a Toyota SUV south in the northbound lanes when she collided head-on with a Jeep SUV. The driver of the Jeep, 32-year-old Ajibril Crawford Blake, from Charlotte, died at the scene.
Tanner was not hurt, according to the Highway Patrol. Troopers have charged her with felony DUI resulting in death as well as having an open container of alcohol in her vehicle.
The interstate was closed for roughly five hours while troopers investigated, reopening before 5 a.m.
