CHARLOTTE — A man died on his 26th birthday after a street racing crash on Interstate 485 in southwest Charlotte, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Channel 9 got word about a deadly crash that happened this past weekend, and troopers confirmed it happened late Saturday night.
According to the highway patrol, two cars were racing on the inner loop of I-485 near Arrowood Road. One of the cars ran off the road and hit a tree.
Troopers say the driver in the car, Skyler Marshall, was killed in the crash.
Highway patrol didn’t have a description for the other car involved in the race. The crash is still under investigation.
