Channel 9 crews could see where a silver SUV drove across the lawn, over a sign and straight into the laundromat. We were there as crews pulled the vehicle out of the badly damaged building.
There was police tape up around the business because of the gaping hole left in the side of the building.
Channel 9 was there as the woman behind the wheel was loaded into an ambulance and taken to the hospital. Officials said she is expected to be OK.
Crews were eventually able to drag the car out of the building and load it onto a tow truck.
Nobody was inside the laundromat at the time of the crash.
Police said the driver, identified as Kirsten Taylor, will face DWI charges once she’s released from the hospital.
It’s unclear how long it will take for repairs to be made to the building.
