ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Dozens of firefighters were called to a reported fire inside the Gildan Yarns plant in Salisbury early Thursday morning.
Officials said ten different departments were called around 5 a.m. to the plant on Heilig Road, near Old Concord Road.
There have been no reports of injuries and officials do not yet know what started the fire, which was under control around 8:45 a.m.
According to their website, Gildan is a leading manufacturer and marketer of quality branded basic family apparel, including T-shirts, fleece, sports shirts, underwear, socks, hosiery, and shapewear.
