CHARLOTTE — A west Charlotte homeowner is cleaning up quite the mess after a tree fell on their car and roof during a thunderstorm.

Ronetta Hall was sitting in her house on Bradford Drive when Saturday’s storms caused a tree to fall on her home and car. Video shows significant damage to Hall’s car and some damage to her roof.

Hall said things happened very quickly.

“We were sitting in the house for the day. My son and my son’s friend were sitting on the porch, and they came running in the house,” Hall said. “And we came back out, we could see all the damage out everywhere. But it’s not damage in the house. I know the roof is, but it’s not damaged in the house.”

Hall plans on contacting her insurance for additional assistance with her home.

Storms quickly moved through the area and brief tornado warnings were in place before 8 a.m.
