'Don’t know what to do’: Coronavirus affects families already struggling

CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — From hotels to local restaurants, it’s hard to find an industry right now not impacted by the coronavirus.

Restaurant worker Crystal Trexler said she has just gotten back on her feet and recently moved into a hotel room. Now, she can’t afford it.

Trexler’s co-worker Imani Martini also lives there with her two children.

“It was hard when I was doing it with tips, but now it’s even harder because I don’t have tips. I don’t know what to do,” said Trexler.
