CHARLOTTE — A local woman shared her pregnancy experience and concerns she felt about giving birth as the nation recognizes Black Maternal Health Week.
Charmeen Wilkes said that she finally got an answer about the pain she experienced during her third doctor’s appointment.

She is one of many women who are speaking out about the hurdles Black women face during pregnancy.
