CHARLOTTE — Cousins Properties remains bullish on South End as it preps for another mixed-use project.

The Atlanta-based developer says it will build a 17-story, 325,000-square-foot office tower and a 19-story, 310-unit apartment building at 306 W. Tremont Ave. Both buildings will sit atop podium parking and will include ground-floor retail that faces what will be called Tremont Alley.

John McColl, executive vice president of development at Cousins, said the alley will be a pedestrian thoroughfare that runs from Doggett Street to West Tremont Avenue. A pedestrian bridge will connect at the buildings’ parking decks.
