Developer moving on plans for high-rise apartments at South End site of Tyber Creek Pub

CHARLOTTE — Commercial developer Southern Land Co. appears to be nearing the construction phase of a redevelopment project in South End.

The Nashville, Tennessee-based firm announced in late 2021 its intention to develop a mixed-use, high-rise building with about 300 luxury apartments at 1933 South Blvd.

That site is currently home to Tyber Creek Pub. The bar, which has become a staple at the corner of Tremont Avenue and South Boulevard since opening in 1999, will occupy street-level space there when the project delivers.
