Man killed in southwest Charlotte shooting, CMPD says

CHARLOTTE — A man has died following a shooting in southwest Charlotte Monday afternoon, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

The incident occurred shortly before 11:00 a.m. on Peachtree Drive near Nations Ford Road.

At the scene, police found 24-year-old Curtis Gregory Lampkin with gunshot wounds.

Lampkin died at the scene, according to police.

The investigation into this shooting is active and ongoing.
